Opening the Digital Technology Sector to Africa's Women, Youths and Children

Grand Digital, Data and Technology Foundation (GDDT Foundation) is a non-profit organisation incorporated in July 2022 and based in Abuja the Northern region of Nigeria, Africa.

We seek to assist rural communities to harness digital technology for learning, development, and economic growth in Africa. We believe that digital technology is the key to economic development and sustainability and that technology- both old (telephone, radio, television) and modern(computer, internet of things, internet, and wireless technology) can enable learning, development, and sustainability of our economy.

We are committed to exploring developing, testing, and replicating strategic opportunities and solutions that are appropriate, effective, and sustainable methodologies of digital technology education to improve educational outcomes, broaden access to quality education, and foster cultural understanding for the future.

In keeping with our mission, our work is focused on three key areas: digital technology education, mentoring (culture and identity), and entrepreneurship/skill development. Cutting across these three focus areas is our Research and Policy Advocacy Community Programme.

Our Founders

" Literacy and digital skills remain the paramount obstacles to improving educational outcomes, sustainable development cutting across all sectors of the society including; economy, personal, social, environment and politics, as well as creating opportunities (digital entrepreneurship) in our rural communities.

Our purpose is to improve the society by taking into account the social outcomes, improve lives, transform businesses and communities, create opportunities for our people while utilising the power of digital technology.

We seek to address the digital technology gap that exist between our rural communities and our urban communities.”

Grand Digital, Data and Technology Foundation(GDDT Foundation) was set up by Uduak Abraham and co-founder Vivian Archibong. Both started their careers in the banking sector in Nigeria before going international to the UK and Canada to continue their academic and career pursuits in digital technology.
